Every item is released on documentation we hold before it ships. Here is what that paperwork proves — and what it deliberately does not.
FAA 8130-3 or EASA Form 1is an approved release certificate: it records that an approved organisation released the item, in the condition stated, on a given date. Some items ship on a manufacturer's certificate of conformity instead. The listing says which, before you order.
Where we hold back-to-birth or last-operator trace, it is supplied on request. For life-limited parts, ask before ordering — we would rather answer the question early than have you receive a part you cannot use.
None of it is a determination that the item is eligible for youraircraft. Eligibility depends on effectivity, applicable airworthiness directives, service bulletins and the aircraft's own configuration. That determination belongs to the certificated person or organisation installing the part, and nothing on this site substitutes for it.
